Visual analysis of hotspot and frontier of traditional Chinese medicine

We choose SCIE and CNKI as the data sources of literatures about traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) and use the information visualization software CiteSpace as the tool to analyze. In order to do hotspot and frontier analysis, we first find out the highly cited papers of TCM. Then we use CiteSpace to clearly show the hotspot and frontier research of traditional Chinese medicine both in China and the international world. We compare the differences of hotspot and frontier research between China and the international world. We find that the development of international study of TCM is behind the domestic development.
