Simulation and Analysis on Rigid-flexible Model of Vehicular Gatling Gun
In order To predict the firing effect of a vehicular Gatling gun and to comprehend the movement stability of the gun system, a rigid-flexible model of the vehicular Gatling gun was established through the soft ADAMS, based on the theory of multi-body dynamics, combined with the structure characteristics of vehicular Gatling gun. The Gatling gun systems of the original design and the improvement design are analyzed respectively. The dynamics and kinematics analysis and the kinetic characteristics of the gun were obtained. In comparison with the change of the recoil and the jump of muzzle, it is shown from the calculation results that the stability and the characteristics of dynamics of the improvement design gun system is better than the original one. The results obtained from this paper provide a improvement direction for the development of the vehicular Gatling gun.
