Miniaturized CMOS Imaging Device with DM642 for Face Recognition
In this paper a real-time human face detection and recognition system is presented. The feasibility of using this system for face recognition is presented through experimental investigation. The advantage of this face recognition system is that it has very low power consumption and consists of a CMOS imaging device with a package of only 37×42mm and a high performance signal processor. The face recognition algorithms are summarized and analyzed. And some preprocessing algorithms suitable for hardware implementation are applied to the system. The proposed system of face recognition may be applied in criminal identification, security systems, automatic teller machine transactions, etc.
