Analysis of Self-locking Destruction Failure Caused by Insufficient Stiffness for a High-speed Automatic Machine
The front support frame of a high-speed automatic machine is often destroyed in testing process, which leads to test failure. According to the failure symptoms, the strength and the stiffness of the front support frame are analyzed with ANASYS. It is found that the large deformation occurred in insufficient stiffness positions is the main factor causing selflocking destruction failure. Then an improved design is realized, and the effectiveness of the improvement is obvious in following tests. This result is useful not only in analyzing the self-locking destruction caused by insufficient stiffness, but also in guiding the mechanism destruction with similar working environment.
