Numerical Investigation on Properties of Angle of Attack (AOA) for the X-51A Vehicle
The second order upwind coupled implicit scheme was introduced to solve the two-dimensional Euler equations, the steady inviscid flow field was simulated for the X-51A integrated hypersonic vehicle. The aerodynamic performance of variable AOA for the vehicle under the working conditions including glided and cruised were analyzed, when the AOA increase from -10° to 10° , the lift coefficient and lift-drag ratio continuously increase; the pitching moment coefficient first increase then decrease; under the condition of glided, the drag coefficient of the vehicle continuously increase with the increase of AOA; under another working condition, the drag coefficient of the vehicle first increase then decrease ,but the change is slow. As a whole, the drag coefficient of the X-51A vehicle under two kinds of working conditions all increase with the increase of AOA.
