Analysis and Simulation of Piezoelectric Generator Based on High-frequency Vibration Environment

This paper presents a mirco-piezoelectric generator, which worked in high-frequency vibration environment. This generator is composed of cantilever-beam and piezoelectric mechanisms. The principle is using the direct piezoelectric effect of piezoelectric material to harvest the vibration energy and generate voltage to provide for output circuit. When the resonant frequency of the generator is equal to or near its working frequency, higher voltage would be produced. In this paper, the theory of energy harvesting for piezoelectric-cantilever-beam generator (PCBG) was studied deeply. A model of PCGB based on MEMS(MicroElectro-Mechanical-Systems)technology was designed. Finite elements method and ANSYS were used to make analysis and simulation. The results of analysis and simulation indicate a kind of appropriate dimension parameters of PCGB which are under the driving frequency within lKhz -2Khz can generate output voltage up to 1.77V. These figures can provide references for designing and manufacturing of PCGB worked in high-frequency vibration environment.
