Development of Warehouse Management System Based on RFID
In this paper, an integrated RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) system is proposed and designed that is capable for a quick and efficient way to collect information in supply chain, and successfully applied into a experiment system of the warehouse management system based on Logistics Engineering Laboratory in Nanjing University of Science & Technology (NJUST). The research also programs the application software and interfaces to incorporate RFID technology into the AS/RS (Automated Storage and Retrieval System). As a result, functions such as automatic data storing, goods querying and deleting , information checking are realized, meanwhile, the operations such as goods identifying, goods inwards and outwards processing, inventorying are accomplished, solving the defects of traditional devices like bar code.
