Research of Universal Design Method for Workspace Dimension
The workspace is an envelop, in which the operator finishes the activities with the machinery, equipment, tools and the relevance. Generally, it is determined by the anthropometric data and possible attitude of operators. A considerable number of workspaces are concerned with various categories; it cannot be designed based on the anthropometric data of a single population. Therefore, a universal and suitable design method for workspace is proposed in this paper. A random sampling method can be applied based on the ratio of variety populations in the space, the relevant body dimension parameters can be determined and modified according to the related nature; then the workspace can be designed scientifically.
