Theory and Practice of the Fragmentation Control of Rock Blasting
This paper gives a short introduction to the basic viewpoints on the shear wave model, the distributive function prediction model, the energy model and the fractal model, all of which are used in the prediction of blasting fragmentation, and then conducts analyses and evaluations of their applications. In combination with engineering practices under given conditions, it also introduces the method and calculational process of using Kuznetsov and Rosin-Rammler mathematical model to make predictions of blasting effects and blasting parameters optimizations. In accordance with our experience in its use, we bring forward our evaluations and proposals concerning the use of Kuznetsov and Rosin-Rammler mathematical model in bench blasting to predict the blasting effect.
