Study of Cold Shock-Wave Extinguishing Engulfment and Its Phenomenon

Through high-speed camera observation, an interesting phenomenon was found that the external flame was engulfed into the powder field after which was dispersed by explosion. The powder dispersion model was built by adopting the two phase flow theory, the granular and gas movement law was studied based the model after explosion dispersion, resulting in physics mechanism of the phenomenon of engulfment which is due to interaction between granular and gas. The physics mechanism of the phenomenon of engulfment owing to interaction between granular and gas was verified by Schlieren experiment through photographing the motion law of two phases.
