The Screening of Inductive Medium from Mature Seeds of Kentucky Bluegrass
Introduction: Kentucky Bluegrass (Poa pratensis L.) is a popular forage and turf grass. It is extremely resistance to trample and hold a long time growth stage. Recent researchers were focus on genetic engineering, which applies Kentucky Bluegrass for varietal improvement and breeding. Tissues culture is the basis of somatic embryo propagation and genetic transformation in further breeding, and callus induction is the first step. The objectives of this study were to determine the best callus induction medium for mature seeds of Kentucky Bluegrass.
