Effects of sward height maintained on productivity and species diversity in Leymus chinensis grassland
Introduction Grassland dominated by Leymus chinensis (Trin.) Tzvel. is widely distributed in the northeastern China. The high palatability of L. chinensis makes it ideal for grazing and mowing (Wang et al., 1997). It is important to understand the changes of grassland productivity and species diversity under different sward height for grassland sustainable utilization and ecosystem protection.
