摘要：

Introduction: Roots are vital organs for plant establishment, growth, yield, and persistence in their role in transport of water and nutrients from the soil. Normal crop growth and development depends on the photosynthesis by the above-ground portion of the plants and root mass absorption of moisture and nutrients. Root morphology and health determine the capacity for this critical water and nutrient absorption of plants.
