An Empirical Study on the Innovation Performance of National Hi-Tech Zones in Central China
Based on the fact that national hi-tech zones play a dominant role in promoting regional hi-tech industry, an evaluation system is set up from such dimensions as innovation support, innovation input and innovation output. Besides, the paper, by means of catastrophe progression method, establishes an evaluation model of innovation performance for national hi-tech zones. Through conducting an empirical study among 10 of the national hi-tech zones in Central China, it is found that inadequate investment and poor outcome broadly exist in these districts. In the end, there comes up with several suggestions on how to improve the innovation performance.
