A Few Thoughts on Differentiated Performance Evaluation of College Young Teachers
This paper analyzes some characteristics of college young teachers, including high educational degree, complete knowledge system, being eager for professional development, strong urge for improvement , unclearness about direction of professional development, abilities of teaching and scientific research are yet to be improved, lack of selfmonitory capability, etc.; it also provides measures for improving performance evaluation of college young teachers, including strengthening cultivation of concept of differentiated performance evaluation, reflecting characteristics of young teachers in design of evaluation system, enhancing communications and feedbacks of performances of young teachers in the process of performance management, improving trainings and providing assistance to young teachers in professional guidance, etc.
