TechnologTechnology Business Incubators in Chongqing-Chengdu Economic Belt: A comparative analysis
We present a comparative analysis of technology business incubators (TBI) in one of the growth poles in China (Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Belt). Four TBI in the belt are chosen to make case studies. Based on Mians (1997) integrative framework and adding some new variables, our paper provides insight into management and operational policies, services and performance outcomes of the four TBI. We attempt to identify similarities and differences of the four TBI, explore the reasons for performance differences, and draw policy implications. Our paper makes an important contribution by using new variables to complete Mians assessment framework and filling a major gap in the literature, as few studies have focused on a comparative analysis of TBI in Chongqing-Chengdu Economic Belt.
