How Do Institutional Environments Affect on Private Enterprise’s R&D Investment: an Empirical Study in China
Chinese private enterprises R&D investment is insufficient. Basing on the Private Enterprises data in China, the research analyzes how the external institutional environments affect the private enterprises R&D investment. The empirical results reveal the private economys competition degree, intellectual property protection, the government service can significantly promote private enterprises R&D investment, while the government regulation will affect it negatively. We draw a conclusion that private enterprises technological innovations activities are closely related to its external institutional environment. The good external institutional environment have a positive effect on private enterprises R&D investment and have benefits of tech-innovation. It provides important theory evidence for private entrepreneurs and government to make decision for R&D investment.
