A Novel Dead-time Compensation in Vector Controlled PMSM System
This paper aims at compensating the dead-time effects in the vector controlled permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM)system. An improved strategy based on invalid apparatus principle and dead-time compensation voltage (DTCV)is proposed,in which different dead-time compensation schemes are utilized depending on the threshold of current hysteresis. The invalid apparatus principle would be used while the phase current is above the threshold of current hysteresis, meanwhile, the DTCV would be employed while the phase current is below the threshold of current hysteresis to eliminate the voltage error caused by the current fluctuations and zero clamping phenomena.Simulation and experimental results show that the current waveform and the stability of the servo system have been improved by utilizing this novel strategy, and the expectation control performance has been achieved.
