Port-controlled Hamiltonian Optimal Control of Induction Motor System for Electric Vehicles

A port-controlled Hamiltonian optimal control scheme for electric vehicle induction motor drives is presented in this paper.First,a stabilization controller is designed by using the method of interconnection and damping assignment based on the dissipative Hamiltonian model of the electric vehicle drive system.Then,an optimal tracking controller is designed by solving a state dependent Riccati equation for the Hamiltonian error system.Finally,the theoretical proof is provided and the simulation on the optimal controller is carried out.Both of them show that the controller proposed in the paper works well in optimal tracking of induction motor for electric vehicle.
