Robust Controller Design for Network-based PMSM Servo Systems with Transmission Delay

In industry applications,the remote Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor (PMSM) can close its control loop via a digital network to reduce the cost and simplify the installation. However,the uncertain network-induced delay could degrade its performance. Considering the detrimental effects of delays in the communication network,we establish the model of Networkbased PMSM servo system. Then suf.cient conditions for the stability of the system is given. Based on these conditions,we propose a method to design a stable state feedback controller,which is robust against the transmission delay. Simulations were done to verify the correctness and effectiveness of the proposed controller design method.
