Enhanced Model Predictive Control of Networked Control Systems with Generalized Packet Dropouts
Packet dropout is one of the biggest challenges for networked control systems. In the literature, the packet dropout was usually described by a Bernoulli distribution of which the success probability is a known constant. In practice, however, this probability can be time-varying. Due to this fact,a generalized formulation is introduced for the packet dropout in this study. Based on this formulation,an enhanced generalized predictive control scheme is proposed for a class of single-input single-output linear systems. With packet dropouts, the system becomes a stochastic process. Hence,a sufficient condition, which guarantees the output tracking error to be uniformly ultimately bounded in the meansquare sense,is presented and proved in this paper. Simulations are given to illustrate the feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed scheme.
