Fault Diagnosis for Rotor System Based on Complexity Analysis

A nonlinear characteristic quantity analysis approach for distinguishing system chaos and nonlinear properties, complexity,is proposed and applied to rotor system with rub-impact at fixed limiters and oil whip fault diagnosis in this paper.Firstly,the theory and algorithm of complexity is introduced.And then combining with model,we utilize the approach limiters and oil whip,respectively.Some conclusions are achieved and the results show that this method is an effective one to identify chaotic characteristic of non-stationary fault signals quantificationally.It can also provide a new way for nonlinear feature extraction and recognition of rotor system typical faults.
