One-Side-Rubbing In-Plane Switching (OSRIPS) Model of Electro-optical Properties of Liquid Crystal Display
OSRIPS liquid crystal display mode can solve the traditional IPS liquid crystal display mode color shift problems. From the continuum theory, using differential iteration method to simulate the OSRIPS LCD curve of the director, Jones matrix method is employed to simulate the electrical characteristics curve. The director distribution curve shows that it is similar with TN display mode and confirms that it is the anti-patterns of twisted TN-LCD. So it can be a good solution to color shift problems, which provides a theoretical basis for its application.
