Sensitivity Analysis of Torsional Vibrations in Mill Drive Train System
To increase the productivity and reduce the cost, the mill drive system having fast performance are now been employed in the steel marking industry.However,torsional vibration has been one of the major issues in improving the quality of end product.This paper devotes on the theoretical study of sensitivity of design parameters for the drive train system (e.g.,inertia and stiffness of the major components).Then an in-house program is developed accordingly.It can be used to optimize the design parameters in the design stage.The parameters of the 1050R1 Roughing Mill are used for verification of the program.Finally,the conclusions are given as well as the future work.
