Response of Soil NH+4 and NO-3Transformations to Nitrogen Deposition under Addition of Litters and Tannin
Through the addition of the broadleaf and Chinese fir litter and tannins with different rates into red soil sampled from Wuyi Mountain forest, transformation of NH4+-N and NO3 --N were studied under incubation condition in laboratory. The results showed that NH4+-N and NO3 --N were decreased by 14.5%-84.4% and 7.8-99.0% under more addition of litter. Soil NH4+-N and NO3 --N were reduced more under Chinese fir than broadleaf litter without taking consider of nitrogen effects. High concentrations of tannic acid decreased NH4+-N and NO3 --N by 14.8%-50.5% and 0.1%-28.6%, which may relate to non-biological nitrogen fixation to decrease the content of soil inorganic N in soil extracts. Our results indicated that with ammonium addition NH4+-N and NO3 --N decreasing degree enhanced under high litters input than that under low input, but it was contrary for tannin addition. Compared with low addition soil NH4+-N was decreased mostly at low nitrate rate under high broadleaf litter or tannin addition, however, NH4+-N and NO3 -N was decreased mostly at high nitrate rate for all treatments under more litter or tannin addition.
