Micronucleus Test of Lewisite in Mice
The micronucleus test in mices marrow(myeloid) cells was used to research the effect of Lewisite on inducing chromosome destroy of polychromatophilic erythrocyte. Through pre-experiment, Ls LD50 in mice(ig) had been detected, which was 23.16 mg/kg, the time of gaining marrow cells was after exposure 24 h. Five groups were detected in this test: solvent control (sesame), positive control (Cyclophosphamide: 100 mg/kg), low-dose group(1/8 LD50: 2.90 mg/kg), mid-dose group(1/4 LD50: 5.79 mg/kg), high-dose group(1/2 LD50: 11.58 mg/kg), and 6 male mice were in each group. The result indicated that the values of PCE/NCE of those groups were 2.16, 1.76, 1.89, 2.50 and 2.264 respective, the relative ratios of micronucleus were 2.33‰, 74.50‰, 1.83‰, 2.50‰and 1.67‰. There were no differences between solvent control and any L dose group (p>0.05), yet there was extremely significant difference between two control groups(p<0.01). Consequently, in this test condition, its a negative result in Lewisite to mice marrow micronucleus test.
