Research of Wind Speed Influences on Liquefied Chlorine Diffusion Based on Carpenter Model and ALOHA
Based on Carpenter heavy gas diffusion models provided by Technical guidelines for environmental risk assessment on projects, the paper studied the influences of different wind speed on the liquefied chlorine leakage and diffusion in a chemical factory, and the results were in good agreement with the simulation results by using software ALOHA. Therefore, applying the software ALOHA to study the diffusion of toxic heavy gases has certain reliability, and the simulation results can provide guidance for environmental risk assessment and management of toxic heavy gases.
