Comparison of AERMOD, ADMS and SCREEN3 for Atmospheric Prediction on Even Terrain
Grade of atmospheric environment assessment should be set by the estimation model according to “Guidelines for Environmental Impact Assessment --Atmospheric Environment (HJ2.2-2008) in China. For the differences in the data processing and diffusion theory between prediction model (AERMOD and ADMS) and estimation model(SCREEN3), a comparison study of atmospheric prediction is performed by setting several scenarios and suggestions are put forward in the end of the paper. The results of rural case show that all the maximum concentration of the 80-meter intermediate altitude source, 120-meter and 240-meter elevated source calculated by SCREEN3 are higher than those by AERMOD and ADMS. While for 15-meters low altitude source, the maximum concentration calculated by SCREEN3 can’t contain those by AERMOD and ADMS. The results of urban case show that all the maximum concentration of the 120-meter and 240-meter elevated source calculated by SCREEN3 are higher than those by AERMOD and ADMS. While for the 15-meters low altitude source, the maximum concentration calculated by SCREEN3 can’t contain those by AERMOD. And the maximum concentration of the 80-meter intermediate altitude source calculated by SCREEN3 is less than that of ADMS.
