Optimized Extraction of Naphthalene in the Soil and Combination Characteristic with Soil Organic Matter
Extraction and determination of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) in soil, take the naphthalene as example was expatiated in this paper. Two different kinds extractions system of n-hexane, acetone-n-hexane (1:1) were chosen to study the impact of menstruum volume, extraction time and the extraction temperature over the PAHs recovery in the soil. The effect of the extraction recovery of naphthalene in different extractants has been investigated under simple operation situation. The result shows that the optimized extraction time is 15 minutes in both the two experiment. The recovery rate of the acetone-n-hexane (1:1) extractions system is 90.2%, which is higher than 86.1%, the recovery rate of the n-hexane extractions system. Then scanning electron microscopy and confocal laser scanning microscopy were used to elucidate combination characteristic of Nap with soil organic matters. It revealed that particle size of soil is the major factor that affected combination progress between Nap and SOM.
