Pollution Survey and Environmental Health Assessment of Lead in the Soil around Gas Stations in Jiaxing City
In this experiment, investigations and sampling actions were carried out on soil of 11 gas stations in Jiaxing urban districts, by using the nitric acid -hydrochloric acid -hydrofluoric acid mixed acid systems and dispeling the soil sample with the help of the microwave digestion instrument. Lead content was determined by applying the flame atomic absorption spectrophotometer. Soil lead pollution was appraised by using single factor pollution appraisal law and CDI pollution evaluation model. The results indicated that the lead content of soil of filling stations in Jiaxing urban districts was 20.5-40.6mg/kg, with an average of 31.6mg/kg. According to the standard of local soil background value, Pb pollution index varied from1.31 to 2.60. According to the higher standard of national soil environmental quality standards, Pb pollution index varied from 0.59 to 1.16. Analysis indicates that although the soil around the filling stations were polluted to various degrees, it was safe since the health hazard index risk of lead was far below 1.
