CFD Study of Tubular Electrochemical Reactor for Organic Wastewater Treatment
In this study, electrochemical treatment of organic pollutants was investigated by focusing on mass transfer capability of electrochemical reactors. This paper describes three-dimensional computational fluid dynamics(CFD) simulations of reactive flow in a laboratory-scale tubular electrochemical reactor. CFD simulation was used for deriving mass-transfer correlations for the reactor. The study also obtained the local Sherwood number distribution of anode surface along axis and the distribution of the limited current density over the anode.
