Study on the Removal of Pentachlorophenol from Water and Its Kinetics

The removal of pentachlorophenol (PCP) from water with Resin D301 had been investigated through batch experiments, and according to this study resin D301 had a capacity of removing PCP from aqueous solution with a removal efficiency of 99.8%. The maximum adsorption capacity was 47.85 mg/g at 25 ℃, and the pH range for most efficient removal was between 4 and 8. The isotherm followed the Langmuir equation with a correlation coefficient of 0.97. The reaction followed the pseudo-second order.
