Data Conversion between CAD and GIS in Land Planning
In land planning, data conversion between CAD and GISbecomes the data-sharing a great challenge. In this paper, threeaspects were studied. First of all, the organization style betweenCAD and GIS data are compared. Secondly, the data conversionmethod based on FME is proposed, and, we analyze its semantictransformation model system. Finally, the coordinatetransformation which takes place before the data conversion isstudied, as well as spatial elements deformation because of it. Inconclusion, different organization style is an obstacle to dataconversion between CAD and GIS. As for coordinatetransformation, we program and expand its attribute with the helpof LISP files in Aut℃AD. The data conversion based on FMEmakes the expression of spatial information maximum inherited.The semantic transformation model of FME is designed to build themapping relationship between point, line, area and correspondingtext during the transformation process between source anddestination data.
