VALIDATION OF THE EQUIVALENT EFFECT OF POLLUTION SIMULATION METHODS ON DC ICING FLASHOVER VOLTAGE OF INSULATORS

The influence of two pollution methods, solid-layer method and icing-water-conductivity method, on the icing flashover voltage is equivalent. In this paper, the dc icing flashover performances of three different types of proclaim and composite insulators, respectively polluted by these two pollution method, are studied. The research results show that the equivalent relationship of the two different pollution methods is linear. So the experimental results can be compared by translation using the equivalent equation.
