IMPROVEMENT OF SIMPLE MEASURES TO PREVENT SNOW ACCUMULATING ON ROAD INFORMATION SIGNS IN REGIONS WITH HEAVY SNOWFALL

摘要：

As a measure for snow accumulating on road information sign in regions with heavy snowfall and low temperature, the installation of tilted stepped plate on the sign that improved from single tilted flat plate was proposed. The results of field test revealed that the tilted stepped plate was effective in reducing the amount and occurrence of snow accumulating even at low temperatures and during heavy snowfall.
