The Analysis and Discussion of the Feasibility of Jeans Reutilization
Annual consumption of jeans is huge, thus the amount of discarded jeans is huge too. How to deal with the substantial amount of the discarded worn-out jeans is properly well worth studying. There are already many items transformed from old jeans on the market today. Since the life philosophies of modern society are low carbon life , resources economization & environment and advocating nature, some brand new strategies are proposed in this paper in order to further respond to these life philosophies. These strategies aim to make full use of the whole discarded jeans, and they really give jeans a second life as a garment. In the section that follows, the excellent characteristics of jeans are presented. The feasibility of jeans reutilization is discussed in the second section, including characteristics and development of old jeans. Section three presents the characteristics of items which were transformed from old jeans, and some successful cases are presented in section four. Concluding the paper, the future of jeans and the outlook of jeans reutilization are discussed in section five.
