Study on the Dyeing and Finishing Performance of Silk Treating with Chitosan
Degradation of chitosan, chitosan on silk dyeing, and crease-resistant finishing were studied. For different concentrations of chitosan on the dyeing properties, the chitosan-treated dyeing rate changed. The concentration of citric acid, different concentrations of chitosan, different concentrations of catalyst and different molecular weight chitosan on the wrinkle properties were discussed. The results showed that as the ratio of hydrogen peroxide increases in the degradation of chitosan and chitosan molecular weight decreases, its color becomes deeper. Through the treating of chitosan with a molecular weight of 2.6 x 10~4 , concentration at 4~6g/L, glutaraldehyde of 0. 5g/L, the dyeing rate would be best. According the results of experiments, using the citric acid of 8% (relative to the finishing agent) , chitosan with a molecular weight of 18 400, concentration of 0.5% , sodium hypophosphite at 6% during the finishing process, the anti-wrinkle shall be best in performance.
