Dynamic variations and factors affecting recruitment of algal cells in sediments of an eutrophic lake
Recruitment from sediment is one of the significant processes in annual life cycle for algae. However, the process and the role of the recruited algae in bloom formation are still unclear. We main studied the site in Meiliang Bay in Lake Taihu from March 2010 to August 2010. Water and sediment samples were collected for further analysis. Meanwhile, environmental variable and nutrient concentrations were measured in situ.
