Complete genome structure and comparative genomic analysis of Microcystis aeruginosa from Taihu Lake in China
Taihu is one of the most eutrophic lake in China which has serious microcysitis waterblooms. We sequenced one of the dominate species Microcystis aeruginosa Taihu98 which isolated in 1998 from Taihu lake. The genome of Taihu98 contains a single circular chromosome which has 4889963 base pairs in length, with an average GC content of 42.4%. The chromosome has 5200 putative protein-encoding genes, two sets of rRNA genes, 42 tRNA genes.
