Wideband MIMO Channel Spatial Correlation Measurement under Different Polarization Patterns
Multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) channel sounding measurements were conducted in a typical indoor line-of-sight (LOS) office room environment in Harbin Institute of Technology Shenzhen Graduate School and the results of spatial correlation under different polarization patterns were analyzed. The measurement campaign at a frequency of 2.45G using 4×4 MIMO structure was carried out in order to study and make a comparison of the spatial correlation under different polarization patterns. Spatial correlation which based on the Kronecker channel model extracted from the measured data shows that cross-polarized structure performs much lower correlation than the copolarized structure at a sufficient high received signal-to-noise ratio (SNR).
