An Investigation Report on Rural Migrant Workers of China——Comparative Analysis Before and After Implementing Advices by State Council
three years since Advices on Solving the Problems of Rural Migrant Workers by State Council was put into practice, the circumstance for rural migrant workers has been improved effectively, especially their wages have increased notably, the problem of default on wage payments has been alleviated, and the services offered to them by governments has been improved. However, some essential problems with rural migrant workers, such as low income and bad living condition, have not changed ultimately, and especially their strong wishes to become legal urban residents are still far from true. Therefore, meanwhile as we further carry out the policies settling the problems of rural migrant workers, we also need to make innovations to institution and increase relevant investments in order to gradually eliminate institutional barricades and shortage of funds that prevent rural migrant workers from becoming legal urban residents and to solve the problems of rural migrant workers thoroughly.
