Studies of Strategies for Chinese Cross-border Bank Mergers and Acquirers under the New Financial Crisis
The sub-prime crisis started from the early 2007 has now turned into a global financial turmoil. And its gradually undermining the worlds real economy. But at the same time, Chinese economies are less affected from the relatively small linkage effects due to not-fully-opened capital market and some other factors. So this is undoubtedly a great chance for the Chinese companies to conduct cross-border mergers and acquisitions. Then what about the bank industry? Examining the drives and risks in those mergers and acquisitions Chinese banks conducted during the year 2006 to 2009, the paper is aiming to provide some proper strategies for Chinese cross-border bank mergers and acquirers.
