Modeling and Simulation of Turnover Parts Optimal Deploying Based on Expected number of Backorders

Aiming at turnover parts supply shortage and superfluous, a method was researched about turnover parts optimization deploying based on expected number of backorders (EBO) in this paper. First, spares support effect index, EBO and probability of spares sufficiency, was analyzed, and some expressions about EBO were presented. Secondly, it was researched of the relation of spares EBO and equipment operational availability, and the conclusion of the least EBO equaling to the most equipment operational availability was known. On the base of above analysis, a model was found about turnover parts optimization deploying based on EBO, and marginal effect analysis was applied in the turnover parts optimization deploying flow. Finally, an example was used in the model to validate its validity and applicability.
