Design of an optical polarization and phase diversity network in silicon-on-insulator waveguides
An all-passive optical polarization and phase diversity network in silicon-on-insulator waveguides is proposed. It consists of two 2×2 MMI-MZIs, which work as polarization beam splitters, and two 4×4 MMI couplers, which work as 90°-hybrid. It is particularly suitable for silicon-based integration of polarization and phase diversity coherent receiver.
