Generation of Optical Pulses Using a Self-Seeded Fabry-Perot Laser Diode and a Tilted Multimode Fiber Bragg Grating
Wavelength Switching and multi-wavelength picosecond pulses are generated from a self-seeded Fabry-Perot laser diode and a tilted multimode fiber Bragg grating. 9 discrete wavelengths are obtained by changing the modal distribution in the grating. The sidemode suppression ratio is better than 25dB and pulsewidth is no more than 42ps.
