Refraction Index Measurement Using Long Period Grating Fabricated by Symmetrical Hole Fiber
A LPG fabricated by CO2 laser in a symmetrical two-hole single-mode fiber (STHSMF) for refraction index (RI) measurement is demonstrated. The different concentration for solved sugar was filled into the holes and experimentally measured. The results show that resonant peak shifts toward shorter wavelengths as the external refractive index increases.
