Subwavelength Plasmonic Lasers
We propose and demonstrate full three-dimensional (3-D) subwavelength plasmonic cavities based on metal-coated dielectric nanowire and silver nanopan structures. 1. High-quality subwavelength nanowire cavity We propose a full 3-D subwavelength plasmonic cavity, a metal-coated dielectric nanowire with an axial heterostructure 1. This structure yields strong confinement of surface plasmons in a subwavelength volume that is much smaller than the diffraction limit of conventional optics.
