Tight binding model study of photonic one-way edge mode and application in slow light
Photonic one-way edge mode has recently been pro-posed in surface plasmon polariton and photonic crys-tals with broken time reversal symmetry. Be-cause of its potential application in one-way waveguide which overcomes the energy loss and interference due to backscattering, it attracts many attention. In this work, we study the physical principle of the emergence of one-way edge mode.
