Influence of Uplink Limitation and Broadcast Traffic on Power Efficiency in Long-Reach Optical Networks

摘要：

Different optical access technologies are studied with respect to their power efficiency. The influence of uplink capacity limitation and the amount of broadcast downstream traffic on power efficiency is evaluated. Passive optical networks provide the best power efficiency.
