Radiation Perfor ance of Mobile Antennas using a Hybrid FEM-FDTD Co putational Technique
The objective of thi paper i to introduce the characteri tic ,relative merit and applications of the hybrid method between the Finite-Element Method (FEM)and the Finite Difference Time Domain (FDTD),as applied to computational electromagnetic studie ,e.g.antenna cattering modelling problem.An application of modified equivalent urface boundary using the hybrid FEM-FDTD technique 1 is pre ented and di cus ed in term of the memory locations and proce ing time required for updating the equivalent urface current from FEM to FDTD methods.A reduced equivalent urface ize that enclose the radiating part of the antenna i tudied and the re ult are compared with different ize of the equivalent urface configuration.Several examplesare pre ented and the re ult were table and quite reasonable with publi hed data.
